An FBI division whose Security Policy sets the rules for protecting criminal justice information such as fingerprints, criminal histories, and case data. Any agency or vendor that stores or processes this data, including cloud providers serving law enforcement, must comply with its requirements for encryption, access control, and personnel screening. It is one of the key compliance regimes for the public safety sector.
