Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers
An international accreditation and certification body for the technical security industry, originally expanded as the Council of Registered Ethical Security Testers though it now goes simply by CREST. It accredits companies and certifies individuals in penetration testing, incident response, and threat intelligence. CREST credentials are especially prominent in the UK, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, where they are often required for government and regulated-sector testing work.
