NAT

NAT rewrites IP addresses as traffic passes through a router or firewall, most commonly letting many internal devices share one public address. It sits at the network edge and hides internal addressing from the outside world. While not a security control by design, it does obscure internal topology and blocks unsolicited inbound connections by default.
