Network Time Protocol
NTP keeps computer clocks synchronized across networks, usually to within milliseconds. Accurate time matters for security because certificates, Kerberos tickets, and log correlation during incident response all depend on it. Unauthenticated NTP has been abused for spoofing and for large amplification DDoS attacks.
