Radio Frequency Identification

networkeasy

RFID uses radio waves to identify tags attached to objects or embedded in cards, powering things like badge access, inventory tracking, and toll passes. Readers energize nearby tags, which respond with stored data. Many older RFID access cards can be cloned with cheap hardware, which is why modern systems add cryptographic protections.
