Software Development Life Cycle
The SDLC is the overall process software goes through, from requirements and design to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. It is the backbone that application security activities attach to; knowing the phases lets teams decide where to add threat modeling, code review, and security testing. Almost every secure development framework is described in terms of SDLC phases.
