Shared Responsibility Model
The Shared Responsibility Model defines which security duties belong to the cloud provider and which belong to the customer. Broadly, the provider secures the cloud itself while the customer secures what they put in it, such as data, identities, and configurations. The dividing line shifts with the service model, and misunderstanding it is a classic root cause of cloud breaches.
