Spoofing, Tampering, Repudiation, Information Disclosure, Denial of Service, Elevation of Privilege
STRIDE is a threat modeling mnemonic from Microsoft that names six categories of threats to consider for each part of a system. During the design phase, teams walk through a data flow diagram asking how each element could be spoofed, tampered with, and so on. It gives structure to threat modeling so important attack classes are not forgotten before a line of code is written.
