WIDS

Wireless Intrusion Detection System

networkhard

A WIDS uses radio sensors to monitor the airwaves for wireless threats such as rogue access points, evil twin networks, and deauthentication attacks. It watches the Wi-Fi spectrum itself, which wired security tools cannot see. Organizations with strict security requirements deploy WIDS to detect attacks that arrive over radio instead of cable.
