AES

AES is the symmetric block cipher standardized by NIST in 2001 to replace DES. It encrypts data in 128-bit blocks with 128, 192, or 256 bit keys. It is the workhorse of modern encryption, protecting everything from HTTPS traffic to encrypted disks and Wi-Fi.
