HMI

Human-Machine Interface

networkmedium

An HMI is the screen or console that operators use to view and control an industrial process, showing live readings and accepting commands. HMIs typically run on standard PCs or panels connected to PLCs and SCADA servers. If an attacker takes over an HMI, they can manipulate the process or blind operators to what is really happening.
