Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
SCADA systems supervise large-scale industrial operations spread across wide areas, such as electric grids, pipelines, and water utilities. Operators in a control center use SCADA to monitor field sites and send commands to remote equipment. Because they control critical infrastructure, SCADA systems are prime targets for nation-state attackers and must be isolated from business networks.
