Information Sharing and Analysis Organization
An ISAO is a group formed to share cyber threat information among its members, similar to an ISAC but not limited to a specific critical infrastructure sector. ISAOs can organize around a region, an interest area, or any community that benefits from pooled threat intelligence. They matter because attackers reuse the same techniques across victims, and shared indicators let one organization's detection become everyone's defense.
