Quick UDP Internet Connections
QUIC is a modern transport protocol that runs over UDP and carries HTTP/3, combining the connection setup and TLS 1.3 encryption into fewer round trips for faster, always-encrypted connections. Because nearly everything including much of the header is encrypted, traditional network inspection tools see far less of QUIC traffic than of TCP-based HTTPS. Some organizations block QUIC to force traffic back to inspectable HTTPS, trading performance for visibility.
