Trusted Execution Environment
A TEE is an isolated area of a processor that runs code and handles data separately from the main operating system, protecting them even if the OS is compromised. Applications include mobile payment credentials, biometric processing, DRM, and confidential computing in the cloud. GlobalPlatform publishes the vendor-neutral specifications and certification program that define TEE security requirements and APIs.
