vTPM

Virtual Trusted Platform Module

networkhard

A vTPM is a software emulation of a TPM chip provided by a hypervisor to its virtual machines. It lets VMs use features like disk encryption and measured boot even though they have no physical security chip of their own. Cloud platforms and modern hypervisors rely on vTPMs to bring hardware-style trust into virtualized fleets.
