Virtual Local Area Network
A VLAN logically divides one physical switch network into separate broadcast domains, so devices on different VLANs cannot talk directly without routing. Network teams use VLANs to segment users, servers, guests, and IoT devices from each other. Segmentation limits how far an attacker can move after compromising one device.
